Norrbottens Bergteknik has been commissioned to prepare the terrain in the Twin Peaks project, which involves drilling and rock excavation for roads, crane plans and wind power foundations.
The client is Stenger & Ibsen, acting on behalf of the project developer Arise, one of Sweden’s leading renewable energy companies.
The name Twin Peaks comes from the fact that the wind farm comprises two hills in the municipality of Sollefteå – Ranasjö and Salsjö – which are located about 15 kilometres apart.
Once completed, the wind farm will comprise 39 wind turbines, with 25 and 14 turbines located in the two areas respectively. A total of approximately 150,000 m³ of rock will be excavated.
