Vitåfors – New sorting plant

At Vitåfors in Gällivare, Norrbottens Bergteknik is involved in rock excavation work for LKAB’s new sorting plant.

LKAB is the owner of the project, NCC is the main contractor and AB I Wikströms Schaktmaskiner is our client.

Our remit includes drilling, blasting and associated rock works. The work is carried out in a busy industrial environment with high standards of safety, planning and documentation, and in close collaboration with other parties involved in the project.
